A quiet weekday with temperatures in the 80s may be the perfect time to visit Playland Park in Rye. There are no long lines for rides, the sun feels pleasant—not stifling—and visitors feel like they have access to their own private amusement park.
On a recent weekday afternoon we talked to some families who have been coming to Playland for generations and others from hundreds of miles away who checked it out while staying with relatives.
