Harvey Girls Lose to Forman

Harvey’s girls varsity basketball team lost to Forman on the road Wednesday 45-35. Down by 13 at the intermission, the Lady Cavaliers played well defensively, and after a slow start, began to shoot the ball more effectively in the second half. They outscored Forman in the second half 23-20.

“I saw our girls show improvement in their transition defense, which is encouraging,” Coach Chris Kelly said.  The team was, however, out-rebounded at both ends of the court all game. “We look to get back into the gym to work on boxing out,” Coach Kelly said.

Sophomore Tessa Knorr of Armonk led Harvey in scoring with 11 points. Sophomore Jaeden McKenzie and junior Olivia Lindsay added five points each.
