Tickets Selling Fast for Joe Girardi at Harvey

Sales of tickets to see New York Yankees Manager Joe Girardi at The Harvey School are doing very well, the school announced Tuesday, one day after making the tickets available online. The Yankees manager will appear Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. in an event billed as Harvey Presents: An Evening with Joe Girardi.

The program, which will include a segment in which the Yankees manager will take questions from the audience, will take place in the intimate setting of The Lasdon Theater at The Walker Center for the Arts on the campus of The Harvey School. Those who attend will have an extraordinary up close opportunity to hear the Yankee manager share stories about his days both as a player on the great Yankee teams of the late 1990s and about his time as the manager of the team since 2008. Girardi will also talk about his team’s prospects for the upcoming 2014 season.

Girardi enjoyed a 15-year career, playing for the Cubs, the Rockies, the Cardinals and the Yankees. He earned World Series rings as a member of the 1996, 1998 and 1999 World Champion Yankees. After retiring as a player, Girardi stayed in the game as a TV baseball commentator and major league coach before becoming the manager of the Florida Marlins in 2006. In 2009, his second year as the manager of the Yankees, Girardi guided the Yankees to their 27th world championship.

A ticket for Harvey Presents: An Evening with Joe Girardi is $50. Seating is limited. A sellout is expected for this rare opportunity to spend an evening with the manager of the New York Yankees. Tickets for the Meet and Greet are sold out.

To order tickets go to www.harveyschool.org and click on Joe Girardi under announcements or call (914) 232-3161 ext. 161 for more information.
