Video: From Corvettes to Classics: Car Show Raises Money for Community

The Bedford Hills Lions Club's annual car show attracted locals and out-of-town car enthusiasts.

By the time you're reading this, the commuter lot on Woodsbridge Road in Katonah will be filled with the usual train station cars: SUV's, sedans and mini-vans.

But on Sunday, it was filled with food tents, people, and row after row of show cars —from Model T's to Indy Pace cars to Lamborhinis and Corvettes—all buffed to a shine for the hundreds of visitors to the Bedford Hills Lions Club car show.

The show annually raises about $3,000 through its car entry fees for the Lions' civic contributions. Local vendors like the Bedford Diner also help with in-kind donations. Members organize donations to local non profits like the Bedford Hills Library and the Katonah-Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Guiding Eyes for the Blind, among others. Part of the proceeds of the day also goes toward a nursing scholarship to a Fox Lane senior.
