9/11 Anniversary; Board Meetings; Primary Elections

Here is a preview of the events for this week:

1. This week will be busy for the Town of Bedford's local boards. On Tuesday, according to its agenda, the planning board will meet to consider applications that include a proposed Bedford Hills urgent care center for Mount Kisco Medical Group and a vote on Chase Bank's attempt to move into its previous location in a shopping plaza. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, according to its agenda, the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet, with its applications including a variance request for Coker Farm to rebuild following an outbuilding fire earlier this year, as well as an area variance for Katonah's Stepping Stones in its attempt to bring its parking on site.

2. Primary elections will be held on Sept. 10 for town elections. Check back for our roundup of the races.

3. 9/11 anniversary observances have been announced for the region on Wednesday. Check back for more details. 

4. The Katonah-Lewisboro school board meets on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. No agenda or meeting location are available as of publication. However, an update from the school closure task force is expected to be given.

5. The Bedford Central school board meets on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Fox Lane Middle School. Agenda items include discussion about the proposed capital plan, which is set for an Oct. 22 bond referendum. The agenda can be found here.
