Fox Lane Homecoming; KBHVAC Chicken Dinner

1. Fox Lane High School is having its annual homecoming this week. The festivities include a Spirit Week in the days leading up to Saturday, with the football game on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Mamaroneck, according to the school's schedules.

2. The Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps (KHVAC) announced that it is holding a chicken dinner on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Food, for $12, includes half of a chicken, beans, cole slaw and a roll.

3. The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester announced that it is holding its annual golf tournament, which is on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford.

4. The League of Women Voters of Bedford-Lewisboro-North Salem announced that it is having an event for people to learn about several ballot propositions that will be included in November's election. The event will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Katonah Village Library. State Sen. George Latimer, whose district includes Bedford, will be a guest.

5. Bedford Hills Elementary School and Mount Kisco Elementary School announced that they are having their annual fifth-grade car washes, which will be held respectively on Saturday at 9 a.m. at BHES and at Saturday at 9 a.m. at MKES. 

6. The Katonah Village Library announced that it will hold a meeting called "Autumn in New York and the Books That changed Our Lives." It will be on Friday at 8 p.m. at the library.

7. The Bedford Village Lions Club announced that it is holding a tag sale on Friday at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick's School. 

8. The first-annual Chappaqua Children's Book Festival has been announced for Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Robert E. Bell Middle School. There will be several authors attending the event. Meanwhile, the Great Chappaqua Bake Sale, which is held annually around the same time, is partnering this year with the book festival.

9. The annual Armonk Outdoor Art Show has been announced for next Sunday at 10 a.m. at 205 Business Park Drive. More than 185 artists are involved in the event, which supports the North Castle Public Library.
