Caramoor's Festival Finale; Jazz at Via Vanti!

It's the first weekend and August and there are several attractions to choose from:

Festival Finale at Caramoor
Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts announced that it is concluding its annual summer festival this weekend, which includes a Saturday performance by 5-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald at 8 p.m. and a festival finale Sunday concert from the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble at 4:30 p.m.

Katonah Studio Jazz Band in Mount Kisco
Folks at Via Vanti! in Mount Kisco are in for a local music performance Saturday night from the Katonah Studio Jazz Band. The group includes R.J. Marx on saxaphone, Robert Kessler at the piano, Phil Rowan with bass and Jack Falco as drummer. The performance starts at 9 p.m.

Snake Hike at Westmoreland Sanctuary
Westmoreland Sanctuary announced that it will hold a snake hike will be held on Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. Folks who stop by can learn about snakes' history and how they relate to the environment. The sanctuary will also introduce its resident snakes to people. Wearing closed-toe shoes and long pants is advised by Westmoreland.

Fiddler on the Roof
The Mount Pleasant Community Theater announced that it will hold a performance of "Fiddler on the Roof" tonight at 8 p.m., at Westlake High School in Thornwood.

Kress Talk at Chappaqua Library
The Chappaqua Library announced that there will be a talk Friday evening about one of New Castle's most famous resident, 5 and 10 cent store chain owner Samuel Kress, who amassed a large art collection and had a 72-acre estate that straddled part of town and Ossining. The talk starts at 7 p.m.
