SHAKESPEARE IN THE SANCTUARY: Northern Westchester's only outdoor Shakespeare Festival.

Denise Simon’s Actors Workshop and Westmoreland Sanctuary will present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at Westmoreland Sanctuary, Nature Center and Wildlife Preserve in Mount Kisco, NY on July 26-28, 2013. This 60 minute, family-friendly adaptation will incorporate the beautiful natural setting of the preserve as actors and audience move through the woods and meadows in this unique, interactive production.
There will be four performances: July 26 and 27 at 6:30 p.m (THESE EVENING SHOWS ARE SOLD OUT), July 27 at 2:00 pm (TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE) and July 28 at 1:00 pm (TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE). Grounds will open 1 1/2 hours before for picnicking. Westmoreland will give a live animal presentation 1 hour before show time. The evening’s entertainment will end with a marshmallow roast round the campfire. Fun for the whole family.

About Westmoreland Sanctuary:
Westmoreland Sanctuary was established in 1957 as a not-for-profit nature center and wildlife preserve with the mission to “acquire, establish and maintain for the free use, enjoyment and appreciation of the public. . . tracts of land, including woodland and streams, as a nature sanctuary . . . to promote nature appreciation, preservation and conservation generally, for the present and future benefit and enjoyment of the public.” Today the Sanctuary maintains 640 unspoiled acres offering 7.5 miles of hiking trails that lead over 7,000 visitors annually past rocky cliffs, streams, ponds and fields. Westmoreland also offers a variety of environmental education, conservation and recreational programs and events serving nearly 15,000 students of all ages every year.
