Paul Green's School of Rock is a very unique music school, first established in 1998. Today these 'conservatories' are located all throughout the United States. Students, ranging from ages 7 to 18, want to learn and want to be there. Due to the overall atmosphere, each individual is motivated to practice and excel in a group band setting. There are three 14-week seasons throughout the year. During each season students receive a 45 minute private lessons and weekly, thee-hour group band rehearsals. Comprehensive music instruction includes music theory, harmony, performance techniques and playing techniques. Additionally, students are placed in as many performance situations as possible. Before the season is up, the band has learned a bunch of songs and is getting prepared for a final show. The concert has an authentic set up of stage, sound equipment, lighting and a full audience of family and friends.
