My fourth and final child participated in "Do The Write Thing" yesterday. She was…Read More involved in the play writing workshop and was then a participant in acting out one of the plays at the end of the day. She was so excited to tell me about all of this and reported that it was a lot of fun! It is the end of an era for me, however, this series of workshops has been phenomenal for all of my children and I hope it continues for many years to come! Thanks to all of our very talented local workshop leaders for devoting time to teaching our children such enriching skills!

There's this great interview of Billy Joel by Alec Baldwin on his show, "Here's the…Read More Thing," where Joel describes his collaborations with Phil Ramone, who engineered many of his hit songs. It's so interesting to see how the artist works with the engineer here. Here's a transcription if you are interested: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/heresthething/2012/jul/30/transcript/

I'm with you Dan, as a Doc Filmmaker, I have never had the need to use a Cherry Picker, a crew of 30…Read More and to shoot "A Scene." Scenes are in Narrative Films, Not Documentaries. But thanks to Scripted "Reality" TV, the lines have been skewed. My guess is that the Permit would have been more had it been called what it was, a Narrative film based on real events.

So it's a documentary? Durst insisted his wife left the Katonah station, but the…Read More "documentary" will use the Bedford Hills station? Do filmakers call these documentaries to get some government funding? Just like other "documentaries" that have half truths... I think this weekend for some home schooling I will rent a Michael Moore movie/documentary or better yet "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" for the kids to learn about America's history.
