About: Operating since 1903, the Bedford Hills Fire Department is a 90-member brigade consisting of fourMore divisions: Engine Co., led by Capt. Manny Acuna; Hook & Ladder Co., headed by Capt. Rick Palmesi; Rescue Co., led by Ross Burbank; and Junior Corp., headed by Jonathan Spano.</p> <p>This fire station has nine pieces of active apparatus: two fire engines, one rescue truck, one tanker, one mini-attack, one tower ladder and three SUVs. It also houses one vintage engine, which is no longer in service.</p> <p>The department responds to calls for fire alarms, motor vehicle fires and accidents, smoke investigations as well as specialized rescue operations. </p> <p>Aside from serving Bedford Hills, this department also offers a Firefighter Assist Search Team (FAST Team) to neighboring communities.</p> <p><b>Fire Chief:</b> Brian McGill.
