AP: Former NWH Tech Faces 20 Years in Prison
Parker says that she doesn't expect forgiveness.
The Associated Press reports that former Northern Westchester Hospital tech Kristen Diane Parker could get 20 years in prison for tampering with a consumer product and deceptively obtaining a controlled substance. Parker was reported to have infected three dozen people in Colorado with hepatitis C. She also may have exposed thousands of people in that area. In an interview with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jaime Pena, Parker said that "I can't ask for forgiveness," and that she didn't expect anyone to do so. According to the report, Parker admitted to stealing syringes that contained Fentanyl while she was employed at the Colorado Springs' Audubon Surgery Center and the Denver's Rose Medical Center.
