La Crémaillère Restaurant is a charming French Country Restaurant, nestled in a 1750 white clapboard farmhouse in Westchester County New York, called the "Widow Brush House".

This romantic, historic and venerable Restaurant, with it's Award Winning Wine Cellar and it's highly reputed Cuisine, has been delighting a local and cosmopolitan clientele forever!

The word "cremaillere" in French literally means a trammel, which is the adjustable hook on which the stewing pot is attached. In days gone by, when neighbors would assist in house building or barn raising, the lady of the house would create a feast, the first meal of the dwelling, to thank everyone for their kindness. The act of hanging the cremaillere was the ultimate act of hospitality and good food.

The owner of La Cremaillere is Robert Olivier Meyzen.
