Turtle Monitoring @ Westmoreland Sanctuary

Each spring and summer we search for, trap and release turtles as part of our on-going turtle monitoring project.  Learn about and take part in our effort to collect data from the painted and snapping turtles living in Bechtel Lake and the Box Turtles that live in our Wildlife Management Area.   We will meet in the museum and either hike down to the lake or carpool to the wildlife management area dependent on which turtles we will be studying.  Please dress in long pants and close toed shoes.  Each program will range from 1-2 hours in length and will be canceled in the event of severe weather.  No RSVP necessary, but program will begin promptly at designated time.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
