Plays at John Jay; Groundbreaking at Fox Lane

1. John Jay High School students will be performing renditions of two one-act plays tonight, the Katonah-Lewisboro school district announced. The first play is "The Real Inspector Hound" by Tom Stoppard and the second one is "The Bald Soprano" by Eugene Ionesco. The performance starts at 7 p.m. There will be more renditions, which will be on Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.

2. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held today for an overhaul of a courtyard at Fox Lane High School, according to an announcement from the Bedford Foundation for Arts, Music and Education (FAME). It will involve adding space in the courtyard for performing arts, class usage, a sensory garden and art gallery. The groundbreaking for the courtyard refurbishment will be at 4 p.m. at the school.

3. The National Weather Service predicts that Thursday will be sunny with a high temperature of 49 degrees.

4. The Bedford Free Library announced that it will hold an author talk tonight, which will be at 7 p.m. The author is Karen Engelmann, whose book is called "Stockholm Octavo."

5. Temple Shaaray Tefila announced that it's having a comedy night, which is tonight at 7 p.m. More details are at this link.
