A good week to run ... the Katonah 5K Race!

It's nearing time for the annual Katonah 5K Road & Trail Race.  From what I hear, we Bedfordites have been getting into great shape this summer - running, biking, swimming, hiking and more - whether here in town or all over the world.  What better way to cap off our summer sportsmanship than by running the charming, yet challenging, Katonah 5K Road & Trail Race?

This goes for the kids too!  There are two races for the younger folk: the ONE MILER and the TOTS' RACES, which will go around the KES driveway loop.  For kids who are waiting during the 5K portion, there is a special treat of fun exercises led by Jodi's Gym.

Pre-registration is $25, either online until this Thursday at midnight, or in person at Cross Sport Woman in downtown.  If you want to skip the Saturday morning, line, all pre-registrants can pick up their race bibs beginning Thursday, also at Cross Sport Woman.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 7 at 8:00am at Katonah Elementary School.  Shuttle service will be offered from the Woodsbridge Commuter Lot beginning at 7:00am.  More info here.

Proceeds will go to benefit children's and teen programming at the Katonah Village Library and the Bedford Hills Free Library.  This event could not happen without the gracious support of our local sponsors:
Cross Sport Woman, OEDD Law Firm, Katonah Village Improvement Society, Premier Physical Therapy, Twist Frozen Yogurt, Katonah Wine & Liquor
State Farm's Mike Berardino, M. Furman Printing, Katonah Chamber of Commerce, Frank Veith, Esq., G. Williker’s Toys & Games, Core Lab NY, Katonah Insurance Agency, The Welch Family, TrustCo Bank, Studio 23, Katonah Restaurant, Jodi’s Gym, Ricci Greene Associates, Weinstein's Pharmacy, Katonah Podiatry, La Famiglia Pizza & Pasta, Bedford 2020/Energize Bedford, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, METropolitan Fitness, Katonah Art Center, Indian Auto Collision, Bedford Hills Family Chiropractic, Oliver's Restaurant, Katonah Image, and Vogler Bros.  This is really a supportive and healthy town effort!  See you on Saturday!
