Bedford officials issued more than 125 resident dog park permits in 2012, according to Town Clerk Lisbeth "Boo" Fumagalli.

Like the 2011 list, local folks have come up with a diverse range of names, from Dutchess to Innsbrook to Socrates. Some people were extra creative with their choices, like the families who went with Blackberry, Keisha or Sprocket.

Check out many of the names in the list below. Is one of them your dog's? Claim it by adding a photo of your pooch to our gallery below! Does your pet's name top one of these? Add an image of him or her to our gallery, and share the name in the caption.

My dog is registered with the Town of Bedford, yet her name does not appear on the list. Her name is Gilda. As a taxpayer, I hope the Town of Bedford checks and updates their records to reflect that my dog is legally registered.

I'd like to invite all Bedford dog owners, no matter what name your dog has, to check out the Canine Commons at Beaver Dam Park. It's one of our greatest recreational assets, but not everybody is aware the park exists. Park permits are available at the Bedford Town Clerk's office. Bedford Dog Owners Group works in cooperation with the Town to ensure the park is both as safe and as well maintained as all the other parks in town. We also donated considerable funds over the past year to enhance the park. Check out our website for more information about the park, about dogs and about our work: http://www.bedforddog.org/ Len Martello, President Bedford Dog Owners Group Email inquiries: bedforddog@optonline.net
