Farewell Twinkies, Cupcakes, Ding Dongs [POLL]

The Hostess treats will be a snack of the past after the company files for bankruptcy.

It is a sad day for Twinkie lovers, cupcake fans, Ding Dong devotees and Wonder Bread consumers.

The beloved Hostess brand shut down operations on November 15 after a worker strike. The company filed "a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to close its business and sell its assets, including its iconic brands and facilities," according to a statement posted on the Hostess Brands website.

The Chicago Tribune reported that a liquidation hearing will be held in White Plains on Monday, November 19 at 2 p.m.
