Vail Celebrates Overhaul with Grand Re-Opening

Bedford Hills car dealership Vail Buick GMC held a grand re-opening on Thursday evening to celebrate a major overhaul that was recently completed.

The most visible change is a new exterior design, with a white facade and arch at the entrance. The old look was of a dark-blue, boxy building.

Other changes, according to owner and Mount Kisco-area resident Bob Vail, include service reception addition, landscaping and upgraded bathrooms.

The architectural changes are also tied into an initiative from General Motors to establish a common style for its dealerships, Vail explained. GM needed to give its approval for it. Additionally, approvals were needed from Bedford's Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.

It took about five months to add the improvements.

Feedback was reported to be positive.

“Everyone seems to be very impressed and excited to see the changes," said Greg Vail, who is Bob Vail's son.

The re-opening included a reception at the front.

Vail is located at 606 N. Bedford Road. It has been in business since 1991, Bob Vail said.
