Assemblyman David Buchwald Steers $3.5 million in Funding to Harrison Infrastructure Project

Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-Westchester) announced that he secured over $3.5 million in state funding for repairs and maintenance along Route 120 in the Town of Harrison.

“Keeping our roads in good working condition will help drivers stay safe,” Assemblyman Buchwald said. “Investments in infrastructure not only improve the condition of our local roads, they make the area more attractive to businesses and help support the local economy.”

Buchwald secured funding for the NY Works capital program earlier this year in the state budget. The funding serves as a supplement to the existing state road and bridge capital plan, and was created to help the state Department of Transportation accelerate infrastructure repairs it deems necessary, including the Route 120 project.

Buchwald also noted that road construction can be dangerous for workers and drivers alike, so use caution and slow down when driving in work zones and construction areas.
