Photographer Wins NPPA Awards for Patch Photos

Stu Bayer, a Buchanan resident and Patch photographer, recently received two awards from the National Press Photographers Association Inc.

Photojournalist Stuart Bayer has received two awards from the National Press Photographers Association Inc. for photographs he took in Yorktown and Pleasantville for Patch this year.

Bayer received second place in the Feature/Single Photo category for his photograph from the Yorktown Tractor Parade. The picture was published on Sept. 8, 2012 in this article.

"Fun photo to look at. There was some debate as to whether it should have been cropped tighter, losing the tractor on the right," the three judges wrote about Bayer's photograph.
