Heroes In Transition Providing Assistance to Veterans in Need.

Dear Friend,

It is my great privilege to invite you to participate in the 2nd annual
Heroes in Transition (HIT) New York City Gala on Friday, May 18, 2012 at The
Hudson Hotel, honoring benefactor Robert Durr, Sr President of Durr Mechanical. With all the support, last year’s event was a
resounding success, and raised over $110,000 to support our returning veterans
in need.  Please help us build upon this
success and join us once again.

After their son, Captain Eric A. Jones, USMC, was killed in action in
Afghanistan, Kenneth and Cynthia Jones (Pound Ridge, NY), along with his childhood best friend
Michael Warshaw founded Heroes In Transition, Inc.  This foundation’s mission is to provide
assistance to military veterans, especially those who have served in the Iraq
and Afghanistan conflicts. HIT steps in when other organizations, including
local, state and federal agencies are not readily available to do so.

In the past year alone, HIT has sponsored two assistance dogs through
Canines for Combat Veterans, funded ongoing post-traumatic stress therapy
groups, provided significant home modifications for severely wounded veterans
across the country, and funded the purchase of a new twelve-passenger van to
transport veterans to medical treatment centers. Our ability to serve such a large group of veterans
is a direct result of the generosity of Gala supporters like you.

On
behalf of Heroes in Transition’s board of directors, volunteers and the men and
women we serve, we would be eternally grateful to have your support. Your participation at a
leadership level in this year’s Gala will
provide HIT with the invaluable resources needed to continue supporting our
veterans when they need us most.

We sincerely hope that you will help make this benefit a great success. We look
forward to hearing from you. And thank you for your consideration and support!
