Interfaith Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 10:30am, the Chapel at Croton Falls welcomes animals, their friends and guardians to an Interfaith Service on the theme of  “All Creatures Great and Small.”

Presenters will offer wisdom on honoring the animals from the Native American, Judeo-Christian, and Buddhist traditions, with special music provided by Kati Mac and Tim Ouimette.

Sarah Hodgson, a bestselling author and a professional dog trainer for over twenty-five years, will share her expertise.  Representatives of the Putnam Humane Society will also join the service with some of their animal friends.

Blessings will be offered to each animal by various clergy including Rev. Melanie Gambino and Rabbi Susan Mitrani-Knapp. Yoga teacher Rona Levine will lead some stretches for people and pets. Treats and refreshments for all will be on hand following the one-hour service.
