State police report:
On Thursday April 24, 2014 at approximately 3:50 pm a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on I 684 just north of exit 6 when the operator of the vehicle lost control, went through the guide rail and into the on coming southbound lanes.
The Silverado struck 5 vehicles traveling southbound as it began to roll over. The pick up came to rest on top of a 2001 Subaru and subsequently blocked all southbound lanes of travel.
The operator of the Silverado along with two additional drivers were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
I 684 southbound lanes were closed for approximately 2 hrs during the investigation and clean up.
The cause of the accident and possible criminal charges are still under investigation by the state police at this time.
