Somers Troopers Charge Bedford Hills Man with DWI

A 35-year-old Bedford Hills man was drunk behind the wheel on Interstate 684, in the town of North Salem, according to police.

State troopers from the Somers barracks arrested the man at about 4 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 16) after they observed the vehicle he was operating stopped partially in a lane. He was asleep with the car still in gear, authorities said.

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.10-percent, according to authorities. The legal limit is 0.08. He is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.

Police released him pending a future court appearance.

Why is it that some of the accused drunk drivers have their name published while others don't?

Good question Michael! It is not right that some have their name attached to a DUI and can be easily discovered on a google search while others are arrested and convicted anonymously.
