Indoor Farmers' Market Makes Debut [PHOTOS]

Market runs through May 11 in Pleasantville's Middle School.

If you're missing weekly trips to the farmers' market, look no further than Pleasantville.

The Pleasantville Indoor Farmers' Market marked its grand opening in the village following a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the Pleasantville Middle School on Saturday morning.

The new venture is backed by the Village of Pleasantville and is run by the new non-profit organization Foodchester.

This morning, an eager crowd picked favorite foods including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, pickles, cakes and other treats.

The market will run on Saturdays through May 11 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

This is a terrific addition to town! I know I struggle with mounting piles of things to donate andRead More finding places to give to. With the Community Center and now Goodwill, great to find a second home for goods.
