Doesn't anyone remember Joe Biden was a plagiarist? He gave a speech entirely lifted from a guy in England. Why do people fall for fake teeth and fake hair?

Utter nonsense, he copied and personalized some key phrases of one paragraph from Labour Leader Neil Kinnock, not the entire speech or even the majority of it.. Liz please do not be a sheeple, you are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

Sorry, Mike but the new law does not supersede existing laws that exempts law enforcement officials to carry large magazines and use assault rifles. So yes it is utter nonsense.

NR can you point out where I said it was not plagiarism? I only stated the he did not lift an entire speech (as Liz had stated), but parts of one paragraph.
And no I do not defend Democrats at every turn, I defend honesty and integrity and have no problem pointing out falsehoods regardless of political party. Truth matters. And if you think that makes me look stupid so be it, the opinion of someone who took another's moniker matters little to me.

Yeah your scathing criticism of the White House regarding Benghazi, Fast and Furious, gas prices, the $16.5 trillion debt, tax increases, unemployment, illegal immigration, 1 in 6 Americans on food stamps etc, etc are the stuff of legends on these pages. For someone that spends the majority of their day on the patch, you sure don't read much of your own blather.

Go to Senator McClaughlins page- he has posted a list of proposals that were put forth by democrats in the state senate and rejected- he was going to read it on the floor, but the democrats didn't want him to because they don't want it out there- it included- many things including all-out confiscation of firearms and magazines- even 10 round. this is clearly where they're heading.

I love the hypocracy- cuomo and bloomberg both claim that out of state guns are responsible for crime in NY state- but they then require in the new law, that NY residents sell their" high capacity" magazines to out of state residents

If they are not in violation, then why is law being changed. Clearly the law is flawed. The statement you quote only reflects the state will not enforce the flawed law while it is being changed. It does not change the fact that law is wrong.

umm no, if the president controlled the price of gas that would make him a communist. And if a president COULD control the price, why would they WANT it to be high if that only reflects negatively on them? The notion that ANY president affects the price is gas is bs. Also, no one president is responsible for that $16 trillion debt.

really? Because my gun is not specifically designed to kill people. Mine is specifically designed to protect me or shoot at a range, not an innocent civilian. and I don't even have to fire it to scare off someone trying to rob or harm me, simply pointing it could do just as good. A gun's purpose resides in the person who wields it. Nothing more and nothing less. And it still doesn't dismiss the fact if ANYTHING is used irresponsibly it can cause unwanted/unintended harm. Also, how exactly do those sports cars that can go in excess of 200mph transport people and cargo "safely"?

Politicians and liberals who believe that restricting law abiding citizens from possessing and registering certain guns will have any effect on crime are incredibly out of touch with reality. The facts speak volumes about the percentage of crimes committed by registered handgun owners as opposed to criminals in possession of illegal handguns. PLEASE LOOK AT THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!

These laws are absolutely asinine. Nowhere in the constitution does the it say the right to bear arms FOR HUNTING shall not be infringed. Everyone is so caught up in this little detail which is allowing for total infringement of law abiding citizens rights. The right to bear arms to to deter tyranny, not hunt.
Laws against bringing guns to schools; okay I can see concerns with this even though I could hunt before and after school and leave my shotgun in my locker or the principal's office without anyone worrying about me when I walked in. Stricter laws against harming first responders; Let's look at this and see how many people allow themselves to be taken alive after making this desperate attempt at whatever. The stricter laws are not a bad idea, just not very effective by the time someone is ready to do something like this. Lowering the magazine capacity; again no hunting preface was put into the constitution. Above and beyond all, GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM!!! There is many facets to this issue, but guns are not it. You sheeple need to wake up. I won't go into all the facets right now, but creating laws in the wake of suicidal actions is just beyond moronic. I have no words for how stupid this is.
