Town Board Grants Bid Requests for Two Parks: Video

The Bedford Town Board authorized going out to bid for work at Bedford Village Memorial Park and Bedford Hills Memorial Park, according to video of its July 2 meeting.

The Bedford Village work, Superintendent of Recreation & Parks William Heidepriem said at the meeting, involves a bid requesting contractor work on two pieces of playground equipment: one for 2-5 year olds and another for 5-12 year olds. It also includes items such as swings and benches. The budget for the work is $100,000, Heidepriem also said.

The Bedford Hills work involves replacement of an old pavilion, Heidepriem said at the meeting. The cost of the structure and delivery is believed to range from $30,000 to $50,000 and with a construction price yet to be determined, Heidepriem told the board. The intent is to work on the pavilion replacement this fall and early winter, and to have it ready by next spring, Heidepriem explained at the meeting.
