Original Post: The Katonah-Lewisboro school district's second school closure hearing is today, according to an announcement from the district. It will be at 10 a.m. at the John Jay Middle School auditorium.
District officials are considering whether to close Lewisboro Elementary School (LES), with declining district-wide enrollment and efficiency cited as reasons. The proposal is controversial among LES parents, who dispute whether a closure is needed and worry about disruption or negative community impact.
