KES Holds 5th-Grade Carwash as Trip Fundraiser

The fifth-grade class of Katonah Elementary School held a carwash on Saturday as a fundraiser to support its class trip later in the school year.

Kids could be seen walking around in front of the school with sponges, scrubbing cars and having a fun time.

Nancy Barletta, who is with the KES PTO and responsible for the carwash, noted that there are several events the students hold to pay for the trip. They included selling pizza at a back-to-school event and a bake sale that is planned for the school's Halloween Fair.
