Mistaken Lockdown at LES

Superintendent cites "technical error" as the reason.

A mistaken lockdown at Lewisboro Elementary School occurred, according to a statement from Katonah-Lewisboro Superintendent Paul Kreutzer.

Kreutzer's statement about LES is below:

"Earlier today, a technical error occurred, which mistakenly activated the lockdown tone. Therefore, the building was put on lockdown mode until the police came to investigate the matter. There was never a threat to the safety and well-being of students and staff; this was truly an accident. The lockdown lasted less than an hour and the rest of the school day resumed as planned. We thank the Lewisboro Police Department and other responding agencies for their quick response and attention and can ensure you that safety is always our top priority."
