New Superintendent, Staff Shifts on March 13 Agenda for Kat-Lew Trustees

The Katonah-Lewisboro Board of Education is expected to make three appointments Thursday.

  • John Goetz as Interim Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015
  • Jessica Godin from her assignment as Principal of the Katonah Elementary School to assignment as the Principal of the John Jay High School, effective July 1, 2014
  • Christy Harris, the current Principal of the Lewisboro Elementary School to the Katonah Elementary School, as its Principal,   effective July 1, 2014, as a result of the determination of the Board of Education to close the Lewisboro Elementary School
The board is also expected to continue discussing current Interim Superintendent Michael Jumper's $111 million spending plan for 2014-15. It is lower than this year's budget.

The trustees will go into executive session at 6:30 p.m. and open the public meeting at 7:30 p.m., according to the posted agenda.  The meeting will be in the John Jay High School library.
