School District Warns of Lice Outbreak at John Jay High

Over-the-counter and prescription medication is available, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Officials at the Katonah-Lewisboro School District have issued a health alert advising families to "be vigilant" in checking for head lice because of a "current outbreak."

Here is an excerpt from the undated post:

It has come to our attention that there is a current outbreak of head lice in the high school.  Please be vigilant about checking your family members for head lice and remind your children not to borrow hats, brushes, combs, etc from other people.
