St. Patrick's School Teacher Gets Conference Scholarship

MaryAlison Makarczuk,  teacher at St. Patrick's School in Bedford has received a scholarship to attend the Excellence in Teaching Conference, which will be later at the University of Notre Dame.

The conference is called Building Student Achievement in the Digital Age, which will focus on new technologies and teaching. It will be held at the university, in South Bend, Indiana, and is supported by the Notre Dame Alumni Association. 

“Mrs. Makarczuk will have the wonderful opportunity to gain new skills to maximize student learning,” Principal Jennifer Ciavirella said in a press release. “The conference provides the right combination of practical application and inspiration. We look forward to hearing what she learned and putting the strategies into practice.”

Makarczuk is a sixth-grade teacher at the Catholic school, which has 196 and covers pre-kindergarten to eighth grade.
