For all foodies, Food Network junkies, aspiring chefs, or simply “culinary mentalists” (whose who dream of – and dream up – intoxicating dishes without having to actually make them), the Stacyknows blog &Via Vanti! Restaurant have cooked up a scrumptious contest.
Open to any resident or Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT over 18, the V.I.Pizzette Recipe Contest is easy to enter. Entrants need only submit a deliciously harmonious combination of toppings (from 3 to 8) that would perfectly complement the Via Vanti! signature ultra-thin-crust. No cooking is required! (An official entry form and instructions can be found at www.stacyknows.com and www.viavanti.com). Entries must be made electronically by midnight October 31, 2013.
The contest sponsors promise the winner and three runners-up “fame & freebies.” The winning pizza will be available at Via Vanti! Restaurant, located in the landmark Mount Kisco, NY train station building, up to Valentine’s Day 2014, and it will be named for its clever creator. The winner and runners-up will receive gift cards to the restaurant ($100 and $25, respectively), coupon certificates for its award-winning gelato, and a copy of the witty and informative book How Italian Food Conquered the World by national food critic and columnist John Mariani. In addition, all entrants are invited to the contest’s award ceremony at Via Vanti !the evening of Tuesday, November 12, where complimentary winning pizzas will be served.
Contest judges will include the Via Vanti! culinary team (including owner and culinary director Carla Gambescia), Stacy Geisinger (of the co-sponsoring Stacyknows lifestyle blog), author and lifestyle columnist Eve Marx, and area food blogger Katie Schlientz.
