Fox Lane Bowling Fundraiser; Bedford Town Board Organization Meeting

This week will be busy for Bedford's institutions:

1. The Fox Lane Sports Boosters Club announced that it's having a 24-hour Bowl-a-Thon, which is a fundraiser will be held on Friday at Grand Prix New York, starting at 6 p.m. More details are at this link.

2. The Bedford Town Board has its organizational meeting on its agenda, which is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the town house in Bedford Hills. It will be the first meeting of the new board since members took their oaths of office last week. Additionally, a work session has been scheduled to precede the meeting and will start at 7 p.m. The purpose of the work session is for discussion about filling Supervisor Chris Burdick's former council seat, he explained last week.

3. Several musical performances are scheduled this week for Fox Lane High School and Fox Lane Middle School. On Monday, an 8th-grade and high school band concert is set for 5:45 p.m. at the high school's theater, and on Thursday an orchestra concert is set for 7 p.m. at the same place.

4. The Katonah-Lewisboro school board has a meeting scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at John Jay High School's library. The full agenda has not been posted yet.

5. A meeting about the proposed closure of Lewisboro Elementary School, along with the related proposed redistricting that involves nearby Increase Miller Elementary School, has been announced for Wednesday. It is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Lewisboro's Parks & Recreation Building in Goldens Bridge. The event was announced by Save K-L Schools, a group that is against the closure proposal.

6. West Patent Elementary School will have a pancake breakfast on Saturday at 9 a.m., according to this announcement from the school.

7. Bedford Village Elementary School will host a family fun night on Friday at 6 p.m., according to this announcement.
