Bedford Man Charged with DWI, Leaving Accident

A 23-year-old Bedford man was arrested after a one-car accident near the intersection of Stone Hill Road and Old Post Road, police say.

Robert Reeder apparently left his Subaru Legacy at the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 3:50 a.m. on May 27, according to authorities.

When police arrived they found the heavily damaged car. While they were investigating, Reeder's mother arrived and said her son was at home. She allowed police to return to her home and interview her son, whom police say "appeared to be under the influence" of alcohol.

Reeder failed field sobriety tests. He submitted to a breath test which allegedly revealed a .12 BAC. He was charged with DWI, DWI over .08 BAC and leaving the scene of an accident. He was released without bail pending a return to town court.
