Police: Bedford Woman Charged With Aggravated DWI

Lauren Farber also faces charges for refusing a pre-screen alcohol test.

Bedford police arrested a 28-year-old resident after they found her asleep at the wheel of her Hyundai parked on Springhurst Road in Bedford.

Officers said they approached the car at about 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 and noticed a female driver, Lauren Farber of Bedford. After knocking on the car window and waking her, police asked her if she needed medical assistance and she said no.

Officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and administered field sobriety tests, which Farber failed. She refused to take an alcohol prescreen test at the scene and was taken to police headquarters for processing, where a breath test revealed a .20 BAC content.
