NYSEG Announces Tree Pruning Work

Tree and brush trimming work is slated to being in the area.

The Town of Bedford announced Friday that NYSEG would begin pruning trees and brush near power lines in the area.

The pruning work is not scheduled to take place on near power lines from utility poles leading to individual homes or businesses, according to the announcement, posted on the town's website.

The work is being done by Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and will include techniques to promote growth away from power lines recommended by the Tree Care Industry Assocation. In yards and landscaped areas, tree workers will chip and haul away debris.
